BETHANY FOUNDATION DAY

Bethany’s 102nd Foundation was celebrated on 15th July 2023. There was meaningful Eucharistic Celebration for the teachers and the students at 8.30 am offered by Fr. Vijith Mathias, the Asst. Parish Priest on theme “Bethany, the garden of our Blessed Mother”. The liturgy was conducted by the staff and they prayed for the entire Bethany family. A quiz was conducted for the non-catholic students on the life of the Fr. Founder. At 10.15 am, the students gathered on the stage and the entire community of Bethany Sisters were invited for the programme. A meaningful prayer service, dance and acting drama and a greeting song was sung by the students. The day ended with distribution of sweets and cake to the students and a delicious lunch to the staff.

Retirement Programme of Sr. Tressilla

Sr.Dr.Tressilla was accorded a warm farewell by the management, staff and students of St. Sebastian’s High School, Loliem, Goa. She had been working in the educational field in various capacities and recently as Headmistress for a total of 26 years. She was felicitated by Sr. Rose Ann, the Assistant Provincial Superior of Western Province. The whole gathering was welcomed by Sr. Jenifer Fernandes, the Headmistress, followed by the felicitation which included a citation by Tr. Brenda Fernandes, presenting the shawl, a bouquet of flowers, a basket of fruits, momento and a token of love by the staff. Sr. Biana Fernandes, the manager of the school conveyed the message of the Secretary, BES, Mangalore. Sr. Rose Ann appreciated the highly commendable achievements and work accomplished by Sr. Tressilla for a period of 45 years in education. Glimpses of her life in school were presented. Sr. Tressilla then expressed the feelings from her heart and thanked everyone. A cultural programme followed the formal function.

Platinum Jubilee Celebration

On September 13, 2023, a momentous occasion took place as St. Sebastian's High School celebrated the Platinum Jubilee of the Bethany Education Society (BES).

The event was a grand success, with a focus on honoring ex-Managers, Headmasters, Teachers and Students who had been a part of the school's rich history.

The highlight of the celebration was the felicitation of the ex- Managers, Headmadters, Teachers, and Students who had contributed significantly to the school's growth. Each of them was presented with a personalized memento for their dedicated service.

The event featured inspiring speeches from the honored guests, ex-teachers and students sharing their fond memories and experiences at St. Sebastian's High School. It was heartwarming to see the nostalgia and pride on their faces as they recounted their time at the school.
