World Environment Day
World Environment Day is celebrated annually on June 5th. It is a United Nations initiative aimed at promoting environmental awareness and encouraging global action to protect the environment. Each year, World Environment Day has a specific theme to focus attention on a pressing environmental issue. This years theme was "solutions to plastic pollution under the campaign #BeatPlasticPollution".
A special assembly was arranged on this day with programme based on environment. thereafter students and teachers took oath on this occasion.
Mother Earth Week
Earth Day is an annual celebration that honors the achievements of the environmental movement and raises awareness of the need to protect Earths natural resources for future generations.
Each Day was celebrated with different themes in the Assemblies such as Harmony with Nature, Reduce, Reuse and Recycle, Go Green Breathe Clean and loving earth by protecting soil & water.
Cleanliness Drive
A cleanliness drive in a school is a proactive initiative that involves the collective efforts of students, teachers, and staff to maintain a clean and hygienic environment. It aims to instill a sense of responsibility, promote good hygiene practices, and create a positive and healthy atmosphere within the school premises.

Planting saplings on the roadside
Mr. Denis Fernandes (environmentalist) took the initiative along with the students of Std VI to VII of St. Sebastian’s High School to plant saplings on the Panchayat roadside. Students felt happy to spread greenery with their tiny hands. Science club Inauguration
A Science Club in a school is a student-led organization that aims to foster interest and enthusiasm for science-related activities and exploration. It provides a platform for students to engage in hands-on experiments, scientific discussions, and collaborative projects beyond the regular classroom curriculum.
The inauguration of Science club of our school was done on 4th September 2023 in a specially held function.
Vanmahotsava week
Vanamahotsav, or Tree Plantation Week, is an annual tree-planting movement in India that aims to promote the importance of trees and forests in maintaining ecological balance and environmental sustainability. The week-long celebration is typically observed during the first week of July.
On 3rd July 2023, the students of Std IX conducted assembly on the theme ‘Vanmahotsava-Greening motherland’. The students highlighted the importance and benefits of planting trees through dialogue and dance.
Making India Rabies free
To foster a positive relationship between people and dogs, and to create a healthy ecosystem, a program on Rabies Free India was arranged. An awareness on Rabies was given by Mr. Akash Naik on 5th December 2023 , a member from Mission Rabies, Goa. It was an interactive session where most of the doubts of the students were cleared by the resource person.
Cleanliness Drive
On 29/11/2023, a Cleanliness Drive was conducted in and around a Water conservation site in the Loliem village. This was to instill a sense of responsibility among students towards the conservation of water and also the cleanliness of the surrounding.
National Deworming Da
Organizing a deworming day at a school is a proactive and essential initiative to promote the health and well-being of students. Deworming helps prevent parasitic infections, which can impact a child's overall health, growth, and development.
National Deworming Day is celebrated annually on 10 August 2023. The day is an initiative by the Government of India to deworm children between the ages of 1 and 19. The day also aims to raise awareness about the importance of deworming for children.
