International Yoga Day
International Yoga Day is observed annually on June 21st. Yoga is an ancient physical, mental, and spiritual practice that originated in India. The word "yoga" is derived from the Sanskrit word "Yuj," which means to unite or join. The practice involves various physical postures, breathing exercises, meditation, and ethical principles aimed at promoting overall well-being.
International Yoga Day aims to raise awareness about the benefits of yoga and encourage people to incorporate it into their daily lives. It emphasizes the role of yoga in promoting a healthy lifestyle and fostering a sense of harmony between the mind and body. Events and activities are organized worldwide on this day, including yoga classes, workshops, and demonstrations, to celebrate and spread the practice of yoga.
National Sports Day
On the 29th of August 2023, our school celebrated National Sports Day with great enthusiasm and fervor. The event was a true tribute to the legendary Indian hockey player, Major Dhyan Chand, whose birthday is celebrated as National Sports Day in India. The celebration was organized with the participation of students from various houses, showcasing their sportsmanship and enthusiasm.
Various activities such as Road Race, Quiz on Sports,
Aerobic Dance were arranged for the students and the winners were awarded with prizes.
Cycle Rally
Cycle Rally was conducted on 04th September 2023 for the High School students.
Humanity Road Race
On 2nd October 2023, Miss Mrunali Bhandari won 2nd place in Run for Humanity Road Race organized by Canacona Sports Academy. (5Km U-18 Girls)
Fit India Movement
FIT INDIA Movement was launched on 29th August, 2019 by Honourable Prime Minister with a view to make fitness an integral part of our daily lives. The mission of the Movement is to bring about behavioural changes and move towards a more physically active lifestyle.
2023 National Game
On 25th October 2023, 23 students along with two teachers : Sr. Cleris Fernandes and Sir Vinesh Satarkar visited the Pandit Jawaharlal Nehru Stadium, Fatorda for the 37th National games inaugural function held on 25th October 2023 on the school bus started at 1:30pm and reach back 10:30pm.
On 31st October 2023, Sir Vinesh Satarkar and Sr. Cleris Fernandes along with 30 students went for the football match on Fatorda Multipurpose stadium on the occasion of 37th National Games in Goa from 8:30am to 1:30pm by school bus
Annual Athletic Meet
On December we have arranged House-wise Athletic meet for the students of our school, Many Events such as Running, High Jump, Long Jump and shotput were conducted and the winners were awarded with Medals and Certificates
Taluka level Athletic Meet
On 21st and 22nd December 27 students of our school participated in the Taluka Level Athletic meet organized by Directorate of Sports & Youth Affairs in two categories U-14 and U-17 in different events such as Running, Shotput, High Jump, Long Jump, walking, etc.
Our students bagged many prizes and are qualified for the district level: -
Master Eldrige -1st in 100 m run (U-14)
Master Verrill Corte - 2nd in 100 m run (U-17)
Master Elliot Gonsalves - 2nd in 400m run (U-17)
Miss Mrunali Bhandari - 2nd in 1500 m run (U-17)
Miss Mrunali Bhandari - 1st in 800 m run and 2nd in 3000m run (u-17)
Master Eldrige 1st in 200m run (u-14)
Master Vansh, Master Hashmit, Master Abhishek and Master Eldrige bagged 1st place in relay (U-14)
Taluka level Chess Tournament
on 26th June 2023, 10 students from our school participated for the Canacona taluka level Chess competition held at Shristhal Panchayat Hall, organized by DYSA camphal, Goa.
Taluka level Badminton Tournament
on 11th July 2023, 05 students from our school participated for the Canacona taluka Badminton Chess competition held at Shri Mallikarjun College, Delem, organized by Directorate of Sports and Youth Affairs camphal, Goa.
Taluka level Football Tournament
on 17th & 19th July 2023, 26 students of our school participated for the Taluka level U-14 and U-17 Football Tournament organized by by Directorate of Sports and Youth Affairs camphal, Goa.
